Iranian missiles are attacking the UAE

According to CCTV International News, citing Reuters, the UAE Ministry of Defense stated on May 5 that the UAE’s air defense system is responding to missile and drone attacks from Iran. Iran has not yet responded.

Xinhua News Agency also reported that the UAE issued an emergency alert to its citizens’ mobile phones on the afternoon of May 5, stating that its air defense system is responding to a missile threat and that the public should take immediate evasive action.

The UAE Ministry of Defense posted on social media on May 5 that its air defense system is currently responding to missile and drone attacks from Iran. The unusual sounds heard in many parts of the country are attributed to the UAE’s air defense system intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.
