China and the US to Hold Trade Talks in France

On March 13, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters regarding the China-US trade talks.

A reporter asked, “China previously stated that the sixth round of China-US trade talks would be held soon. Does the Ministry of Commerce have any updates?”

The spokesperson stated, “As agreed by both sides, He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, will lead a delegation to France from March 14 to 17 to hold trade talks with the US.”

Both sides will conduct consultations on trade and economic issues of mutual concern, guided by the important consensus reached at the Busan summit and previous phone calls between the two heads of state.
