On September 24, the Hefei Municipal Transportation Bureau issued a situation report: On September 22, after discovering an online complaint against Jiao, a staff member of our bureau, our bureau immediately launched an investigation and found that Jiao had engaged in improper law enforcement.
According to relevant laws and regulations, after research and decision, Jiao was given a warning and transferred from his post. It is currently being handled according to procedures.
Previously, a ride-hailing driver in Hefei, Anhui Province posted a video saying that a female staff member of the Hefei Municipal Transportation Bureau showed her work ID when she took a taxi and asked to see two certificates. Because she was in plain clothes and was enforcing the law alone, the driver refused to cooperate. Afterwards, the woman complained to the online ride-hailing platform, and the driver’s account was banned.
The in-car surveillance showed that on September 20, a woman in plain clothes showed her work ID when she was about to get off the car and asked the driver if he had two certificates. The driver said, “Two people can enforce the law” and “You are still in plain clothes,” and refused to show his ID. The woman said, “I will report to the platform,” and then got off the car and left.
When the online taxi driver posted the video, he showed his driver’s license, vehicle registration certificate, online taxi transport certificate and online taxi driver qualification certificate.
