China imports African lamb products for the first time

A batch of frozen lamb produced in Madagascar, Africa, arrived in Hunan, China on the 8th. The batch of goods totaled 50 pieces and more than 900 kilograms.

This was the first batch of Madagascar lamb imported into China last year, and it was also the first time that China imported lamb products from Africa, marking that African meat products have achieved significant phased results in entering the Chinese market.

Madagascar’s lamb will be sold on many catering, supermarkets and other platforms in and outside Hunan Province, bringing more high-quality meat choices to Chinese consumers.

During the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo last year, China and Madagascar signed an agreement to allow Madagascar lamb to be exported to China.
