The Bank of Japan kept its interest rate at 0.75%

The Bank of Japan (BOJ) decided to maintain its policy rate at 0.75% at its monetary policy meeting on March 19.

This marks the second consecutive meeting that has kept the rate unchanged, following a decision to raise rates in December 2025.

The BOJ will continue to assess the impact of rising oil prices, triggered by tensions in the Middle East, on the economy and prices.
