A US-Israeli attack on a girls’ school in Iran has left 51 people dead
According to multiple Iranian media reports, the joint US-Israeli strike on Iran on February 28 has resulted in the deaths of 51 people and injuries to 60 others at a girls’ school in southern Iran. The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) reported that the school is located in Minab, a city in southern Iran where the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps maintains a base.
The US and Israel have not yet released details of the military operation. However, The Jerusalem Post, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), reported that the two militaries had been closely planning the attack for months to ensure its simultaneous execution. Furthermore, the IDF conducted “long-term, meticulous preparations” for the operation.
