Kim Jong Un: South Korea is a “Complete Enemy, a Perpetual Enemy”
The 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea concluded in Pyongyang on the 25th. In his summary report during the congress, Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, stated regarding inter-Korean relations that North Korea considers South Korea a “complete enemy, a perpetual enemy.”
Kim Jong Un said that North Korea has no relationship with South Korea, its “most hostile entity,” and will forever exclude South Korea from its class of compatriots. North Korea has defined inter-Korean relations as relations between the most hostile states, and this is North Korea’s unwavering principle.
Kim Jong Un said that South Korea’s serious actions in recent years and earlier this year, such as violations of North Korean airspace and provocations, clearly demonstrate that it is not a trustworthy neighbor. North Korea will not persist in dialogue and cooperation with South Korea, which has “long proven to be unscientific and unrealistic.”
Kim Jong Un said that as long as South Korea cannot escape the geopolitical conditions of bordering North Korea, the only way for its security to continue is to avoid contact with North Korea. If South Korea’s actions are considered an infringement on North Korea’s security environment, North Korea “can take any action.”
