French President Emmanuel Macron Visits Sichuan University
On the afternoon of December 5th, French President Emmanuel Macron visited Sichuan University in Chengdu.
In recent years, Sichuan University has established and deepened partnerships with many French universities. Its main partners include Sciences Po, Paris Nanterre University, the University of Toulouse, and the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), with nearly 20 cooperation agreements signed.
Chengdu is an important central city in western China, a national historical and cultural city, and an international comprehensive transportation hub. As early as 1981, Chengdu established a sister city relationship with Montpellier, France, becoming the first pair of sister cities between China and France.
