Yiwu’s import and export volume exceeded 600 billion yuan in the first three quarters

Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, saw its foreign trade volume surpass 600 billion yuan in the first three quarters of this year, reaching 631.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.3%. Exports reached 553.99 billion yuan, up 25.7%, while imports reached 77.21 billion yuan, up 31.3%, both record highs.

In the first three quarters of this year, Yiwu traded with 227 countries and regions worldwide, with trade with 181 of them showing year-on-year growth, an increase of 29 compared to the same period last year.

The report also mentioned that in the first three quarters, Yiwu’s imports and exports with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 429.39 billion yuan, an increase of 28.9%, accounting for 68% of Yiwu’s total import and export value during the same period.
