Venezuela breaks diplomatic relations with Paraguay
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela announced the decision to break diplomatic relations with the Republic of Paraguay and proceed with the immediate withdrawal of its personnel in the South American nation after the demonstrations of its leader to continue the ridiculous adventure of Guaidó 2.0, Edmundo González Urrutia.
The note from the Bolivarian Foreign Ministry categorically rejects the statements of the Paraguayan president, Santiago Peña, who “relapses into a failed practice that recalls the political fantasies of the extinct Lima Group” and ignores international law and the principle of non-intervention.
Venezuela specifies that Peña’s actions represent a “reissue of strategies without political, legal, or social support, which have demonstrated their resounding failure.”
The Bolivarian nation describes it as regrettable that governments such as that of Paraguay continue to subordinate their foreign policy to the interests of foreign powers and are dedicated to promoting destabilizing agendas that undermine the democratic principles of free peoples.
Venezuela reiterated its commitment to defending democracy, peace and self-determination of peoples, principles of the United Nations Charter that it considers essential.
“No buffoonery instructed by international fascism will succeed in bending the will of a people firm in the construction of its own destiny,” concludes the statement from the Foreign Ministry.
