TEMU opens up to local Canadian sellers for the first time
On February 25, TEMU announced that it will launch a new program that allows local Canadian sellers to sell goods to Canadian consumers through its platform.
This move marks the first time that Canadian sellers can directly list and sell their products on TEMU.
According to TEMU, only sellers registered in Canada and with local product inventory and delivery capabilities can participate in this program. TEMU’s move aims to expand its product range, speed up order fulfillment, and improve user experience.
Since entering the Canadian market in February 2023, TEMU has attracted a large number of consumers with its low-priced goods. Through this plan, TEMU not only provides Canadian sellers with the opportunity to enter a larger market, but also further strengthens the platform’s local development and consumers’ shopping experience.
Prior to this, TEMU has implemented similar local seller entry policies in the United States, Germany, France, Japan and other countries.
Just last month, TEMU also announced the launch of the L2L (local to local) model in South Korea, launching a business promotion campaign for local Korean sellers. This recruitment is mainly for registered sellers in Korea who have inventory and can handle orders and deliveries by themselves. Sellers interested in joining can search for “TEMU Seller Center” to visit the seller center page.
TEMU said that the launch of the “L2L” model is aimed at providing Korean consumers with a rich variety of local products and opening up a new market for Korean sellers to meet millions of customers. The platform will invite local Korean sellers to join the platform and help Korean sellers expand new sales channels through this model.
