According to the confessions of relevant personnel and preliminary investigations, most of them were forced to participate in illegal and criminal activities such as fraud and online gambling. The Myanmar government said that it will actively cooperate with neighboring countries to carry out joint operations, severely crack down on illegal activities such as fraud and online gambling in the Myawaddy fraud park, and orderly carry out the repatriation and transfer of illegal immigrants.

On the morning of the 20th, a Chinese charter plane landed at Mae Sot Airport on the Thai side of the Thai-Myanmar border to pick up Chinese nationals who were repatriated from the Myanmar fraud park. After the first batch of repatriated personnel boarded the plane, the first Chinese charter plane had already left the airport.

In addition to the first charter plane, there will be more charter planes arriving at Mae Sot Airport in the future to continue to take the repatriated personnel back to China.
