Multiple transport projects of Hangzhou appraised

Recently, 24 fast roads (sections) and 38 metro lines (sections) of Hangzhou have been selected as Model Roads in 2022 Hangzhou Hundred-day Critical Action in Urban Infrastructure Construction for Upcoming Asian Games.

Hangzhou has achieved fruitful results in road construction for the upcoming Asian Games and has expanded the traffic network of the city to expedite citizens’ travel in 2022. Meanwhile, some fast roads integrate local characteristic culture to enhance the image of the city.

Innovative technology was applied during the construction. For example, the east extension of Genshan Road (E) in Qiantang District (Cross-Qiantang River Tunnel – Toupeng Road) used modified soil and new technology to turn 70,000 cubic meters of waste soil into treasure, setting an example for low-carbon and environmental-friendly construction of traffic projects.

Hangzhou theaters set to brace for spring festival brisk business

As movie consumption is expected to upsurge in the run-up to the Spring Festival, Hangzhou theaters set to contend for audiences by well weighing the movies to be screened and hoarding popular snacks.

Seven new movies will be screened on the first day of the Lunar New Year, including Sci-fi Disaster Movie Wandering Earth 2, Sports-Themed Motivational Movie Ping-pong: The Triumph, Domestic Animation Deep Sea, and Hollywood Blockbuster Avatar 2. With varied subjects, the movies suit all age groups of audiences. All the 7 movies are elaborately produced. The current schedules of the theaters are tentative and are subject to adjustment based on the box-office revenues and word of mouth after the first day of the Lunar New Year.

With optimized policy for pandemic control, the theaters expect the booming consumption during the upcoming Spring Festival. While hoarding popcorn, chips, coca and other popular snacks, some theaters also give away gifted money in red envelops, souvenirs, key chain and other movie derivatives.
