U.S. 2022 GDP growth forecast revised downward

International Business News – Local time on the 11th, the International Monetary Fund released a new issue of the World Economic Outlook, the U.S. economic growth forecast for 2022 from the July forecast of 2.3% down 0.7 percentage points to 1.6%, the forecast for 2023 remained unchanged at 1%.

The International Monetary Fund also lowered growth expectations for the euro zone, the United Kingdom, Latin America and other economies.

The report points out that the current global economy faces many challenges, with inflation reaching its highest level in decades, a tightening financial environment in most regions, the crisis in Ukraine and the persistence of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, seriously affecting global economic growth prospects.
